Oil separator filter need to pay attention to when using

 1, the oil separator pressure difference is too large (> 1bar)

 

In the process of using the air oil separator filter element, the normal pressure difference of the newly installed oil-gas separator filter element is 0.17-0.3 bar for the first time. If it exceeds 0.3 bar, it is not normal. In this case, check the minimum pressure valve of the air compressor or Whether the spare parts of other air systems are damaged.

In the process of using the air oil separator filter element, if the pressure difference is too large in a short period of time, it is abnormal that the pressure difference of the oil-gas separator filter element is greater than 0.8 bar. In this case, check whether the air system of the air compressor has Short circuit phenomenon, but also check whether the air filter used in the air compressor can filter 5-6μm impurities to 95%, and the effect of 99.8% impurities in 7-10μm, otherwise the oil separator filter will appear in advance in use. The pressure difference is >0.8 bar or more. In addition, after the overhaul, the air compressor has cleaned the compressed air system and the oil circuit system. When the two systems of the air compressor have obvious failures, the oil pressure separator core will have excessive pressure difference in the early stage of use.

In the process of using the oil-gas separator filter element, the separation layer can have a certain amount of dust. When the air compressor continuously uses the inhaled air, many dust particles smaller than 5um enter the fine separation layer of the oil separator filter element, not only the fine separation layer of the oil separator filter. The processing flow rate of the fine separation layer is continuously decreasing, and the pressure difference of the oil separator filter element is also constantly increasing. The oil separator filter element reaches a differential pressure of 1 bar in normal use, and the oil separator filter element needs to be replaced.

Whether the lubricating oil has the anti-oxidation ability, whether it has excellent thermal stability and oxidative stability, and resists oil decomposition and sludge generation. Improper use of the oil will also result in an increase in the differential pressure of the oil separator filter.

 

 2, the oil content of the oil separator core is too large (>10ppm)

 

During the use of the oil separator filter element, the compressed air containing liquid oil separated by the oil-gas separator has a desired oil content of less than 3 ppm. Before using the oil separator, it must be understood whether the volumetric flow rate of the air compressor matches the treatment flow rate of the oil separator core. The configuration of the oil separator core must be greater than or equal to the outlet flow rate of the air compressor. In the same type of oil separator filter used in different brands of air compressors, the oil separator filter has different oil content. Because of the different brands of air compressors, its oil and gas barrels are designed differently. The oil content of the oil separator filter is related to the design of the oil and gas tanks, and the flow design of the oil storage tank is calculated according to the DIN1945 standard.

In the process of using the oil-gas separator filter element, the compressed air content is >10ppm/(m3min). It is necessary to pay more attention to the oil quantity in the oil and gas barrel and the oil temperature of the air compressor. If necessary, check the air compressor stop. Check the air return pipe of the air compressor for blockage, whether the seal is damaged and whether the oil volume of the oil and gas tank is at a reasonable position and other related parts are inspected. In general, the amount of oil in the compressed air can be clearly seen from the sewage.

Whether the lubricating oil used has good air release, avoid cavitation and maintain maximum compression ratio. Whether there is low foaming, carefully selected additives ensure that the air is quickly separated, does not form an excessive layer of foam, and has excellent water separation.

 

3, the oil separator filter element appears to burn or explode (smoke, burnt smell)

 

In the process of using the oil separator filter element, accidentally there will be combustion or explosion in the oil and gas barrel, which is not caused by the oil separator filter element. Since the air oil separator filter itself does not spontaneously ignite, only the two factors of fire and combustion-supporting gas will burn and explode at the same time. In addition, the oil separator filter element will generate static electricity through the friction of the gas flow rate. The greater the static electricity, the more dangerous. Therefore, manufacturers of oil and gas separator filters will be equipped with conductive sheets. Unless the reinforced sheet is not electrically conductive on the flange gasket of the oil separator core during installation, the static electricity generated cannot be dissipated.

In the process of using the oil separator filter, it is necessary to prevent the oil and gas barrel from burning. First, the conductive sheet is reinforced on the flange gasket of the oil separator filter, and the performance of the gasification amount of the compressor lubricating oil used must conform to international standards. Secondly, the impurities of the two systems and the welding slag on the weld must be cleaned before installing the oil separator filter, especially the weld slag on the weld of the new machine must be cleaned. Because the air compressor generates high temperature and high pressure during operation, and high-speed gas circulation is easy to remove the clean and unclean solder slag, and collide with the metal parts to produce sparks. Once again, it is necessary to always pay attention to whether the noise generated by the operation of the air compressor is normal, and to prevent the spark of the metal fruit particles and metal parts generated by the wear of the moving parts of the air compressor.

Lubricants have outstanding oxidative stability and prevent the formation of carbon deposits and paint films on valves and other components that are by-products of oxidation reactions (such as iron oxides and hydroxides) under high temperature and pressure conditions. These deposits can cause serious damage to the air compressor, reduce efficiency and increase maintenance costs.

Whether the lubricating oil has the function of preventing fire and explosion accidents, in the exhaust pipe of the compressor head, the mixture of carbon deposits and rust particles can generate an exothermic reaction under the action of the heat of the compressed air, resulting in fire and explosion.

 

 4, the normal adaptation pressure of the oil separator filter (> 5bar)

 

In the process of using the oil separator filter element, it should be noted that the air pressure normally used in the factory cannot be <5 bar. Since the treatment flow rate of the oil-gas separator filter element is calculated according to the standard 7 bar pressure, the treatment flow rate of the oil-gas separator filter element is calculated according to the DIN 1945 standard. In general, the selection of the oil separator filter element must be configured to be more than 105% of the air compressor outlet flow rate, and the treatment capacity of the oil separator filter element is related to the pressure and flow rate used, under the pressure of the matched oil separator core. The lower the treatment of the oil-gas separator core, the worse the treatment effect. Therefore, the oil-gas separator filter element must be used for more than 5.5 bar for a long time, otherwise the oil content of the treated air of the oil-gas separator filter element will not reach 3ppm.

 

5. Precautions when installing the oil separator filter

 

1) Apply a small amount of lubricant to the surface of the seal when installing the oil separator filter element.

2) The screw-on oil separator filter element can be tightened clockwise by hand when installing.

3) When installing the built-in oil separator filter element, the conductive gasket or the graphite gasket must be installed on the flange gasket of the oil separator filter.

4) When installing the built-in oil separator filter, pay attention to whether the return pipe extends between 2-3 mm from the bottom of the oil separator filter.

5) When removing the oil separator filter element, first pay attention to whether there is residual pressure inside.

6) Oil-laden compressed air cannot be directly injected directly into the oil separator filter.
