Replacement of filter elements for oil separators

When the lubricating oil consumption of compressor increases greatly, check whether the oil filter, pipeline, return pipe are blocked and cleaned. If after cleaning the oil consumption is still very large, it may be that the oil separator has deteriorated and needs to be replaced in time. When the pressure difference between the two ends of the oil and gas separation filter reaches 0.15MPa, it should be replaced. When the pressure difference is 0, it indicates that the filter core is faulty or the air flow has been short circuited. General replacement time is 3000~4000 hours, if the environment is poor, its use time will be shortened.

 (1) External models

a, stopped the compressor, closed the air pressure outlet, opened the drain valve, and confirmed the system to be free of pressure.

b,remove the oil separator and replace the new product.


 (2) Built in models.

a, stopped the compressor, closed the air pressure outlet, opened the drain valve, and confirmed the system to be free of pressure.

b, disconnect the pipeline above the oil drum and remove the pressure maintaining valve outlet to the cooler pipe line.

c, remove the oil return pipe.

d, remove the fixing bolts on the cover of the oil gas tank, and remove the upper cover of the gas tank.

e, Remove the oil separator and replace it with the new oil separator.

f, install in reverse order.


Note: when the return pipe is installed, the tube must be inserted into the bottom of the filter element. Replacement of oil separator attention to static release, to connect the inner metal mesh and oil drum shell. About 5 staples can be put on the upper and lower pads, and the staples are fixed thoroughly to prevent electrostatic accumulation from igniting explosion, and to prevent impurities from falling into the oil drum, so as not to affect the operation of the compressor.
