Common problems in operation and maintenance of Air Compressors:

31.Why should we regularly clean the screw type air compressor cooler? How to clean up after fouling?

After long-term use of the air compressor cooler, the calcium, magnesium and other bicarbonate substances in the water of the cooler will form scales, which will affect the normal heat transfer of the cooler, make the air compressor inlet and exhaust temperature rise, air can not be cooled to the predetermined temperature, affect the quality of compressed air, and even affect the safe operation. Therefore, according to the specific circumstances, we should work out a regular scale cleaning plan.

There are two ways to clean the scale: one is mechanical method, that is, physical removal method; the other is chemical method.

Mechanical method with an extended handle brush in the pipe to drag back and forth to remove the scale inside the pipe, but also with a high-pressure water gun on the copper pipe flushing.

The chemical method is to dissolve the scale with dilute hydrochloric acid according to the characteristics of the scale as a basic substance. But the acid content should not be too high, otherwise it will corrode the metal. The specific cleaning method is: first make dilute hydrochloric acid solution, add 5-10kg hydrochloric acid into 100kg water, dilute hydrochloric acid tank on the bottom of the cooler, bottom connected with a skin tube to a small pump, the pump and the cleaned cooler channel constitute a loop. After the pump is started, it is cleaned by dilute hydrochloric acid solution, and it is generally cleaned about 6h. If it is washed in winter, the solution can be heated to 70~80℃, so as to speed up the cleaning and improve the cleaning effect. After cleaning with dilute hydrochloric acid solution, remove the liquid, and then rinse with clean water. In order to prevent acid corrosion, 5% sodium bicarbonate solution can be used to wash for 10 minutes, and finally rinse with clean water.
